Does TV Fuels Demand For Foreign Brides?

Good news for the foreign bride industry, because of the popularization of Netflix shows like Narcos, the demand for foreign brides, especially in Latin American countries is rising. Netflix series Narcos recreates the story of drug lord Pablo Escobar and his run from the law in the multi-part Netflix series. Ever since its commercial success, the demand for foreign brides from cities like Cali and Medellin are growing.

Kenneth Agee, the marketing director for A Foreign Affair says, "Because of the show we are doubling our tours to Medellin for next year. Narcos has brought a lot of attention to the intense beauty of Colombian women. Although the show is often very violent, the women of Colombia come across as very family oriented and loyal. These values seem harder and harder to find in this world. I would have to agree, because of the interest in Narcos, we even added an excursion to where Pablo's self-built prison was located, in the hills overlooking Medellin.

A Foreign Affair, is one of the biggest players in the foreign dating industry. They arrange romance tours to Colombia several times a year for small groups of men to meet hundreds of beautiful Colombian women. They also arrange romance tours to other countries around the world, such as China, Russia, and Costa Rica.

Colombian women are naturally very beautiful and passionate, which makes them ideal brides. These qualities were portrayed by excellent actresses like Paulina Gaitan, who played the role of Pablo Escobar’s wife, and Andrea Londo who performs as Maria Salazar.

These women showcase some of the very best of Colombian beauty and resilience, so it comes as no wonder why the demand for foreign brides who meets these qualities are on the rise.
