TV shows where every episode has...

... the same writing credits? The only ones I can think of are COUPLING, EPISODES and THE I.T. CROWD.

The reason why I didn't ask "TV shows where every episode was written by the same person or people?" is because that could be confusing. For example, Larry David has written every episode of CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM. However, he had co-writers during season 8, so the credits weren't the same.

Would "Steptoe and Son" be an example of this?

Not to mention "Cilla's World of Comedy" and "The Galton and Simpson Playhouse".

reply

John Sullivan wrote every episode of 'Only Fools and Horses' on his own. That man was a genius.

reply

I've never heard of any of those shows but, according to their IMDB pages, they do count.

reply

I admit "Cilla's World of Comedy" and "The Galton and Simpson Playhouse" are very obscure, but you've never heard of "Steptoe and Son"? It's a very famous show.

Steptoe is probably better known to US audiences via Norman Lear's Americanized adaptation of it, Sanford and Son.

Don't quote me on this, but doesn't Aaron Sorkin write every episode of all of his series? When he was on The West Wing, every episode was written by him for the first 4 seasons and I believe he wrote every single episode of Sports Night and The Newsroom. I also believe that Nic Pizzolatto wrote every episode of True Detective.

reply

Oh, I'm not American. I have heard of SANFORD AND SON, but I never saw it.

reply

I just checked, and TRUE DETECTIVE and all the Aaron Sorkin shows don't have the same writing credits in every episode.
