Who said it, & what does it mean?
Darling, don't you pay any attention to this human twenty-four sheet.

Couldn't guess who said it, but I think I 24-sheet is a very large movie poster, isn't it?
- What are you gonna do, when the world catches on?
That's what it is, and Tallulah Bankhead (as Connie Porter) says it in Lifeboat to William Bendix (as Gus Smith) about John Hodaik (as Kovak) in reference to the initials tattooed on Kovak's chest advertising his affairs.

I probably shouldn't admit it on IMDb - and ESPECIALLY not on THIS board - but I've never seen 'Lifeboat.'
(bad drunkbear! bad!)
- What are you gonna do, when the world catches on?
In a way, I envy you, then. Although not consistently thought of as one of Hitchcock's standout films, I consider it to be among his most creative efforts. And as with any number of films I've seen many times, I often wish there were a way to see it for the first time all over again.
When you do see it, I hope you'll enjoy it, because I think you're in for a treat. It's tense, smart, snappy and more full of wry humor than you might expect. The cinematic techniques Hitchcock employs to keep an entire film taking place within a lifeboat from feeling static or constrained are impressive, and it features great performances all around (among which Bankhead, Bendix and Walter Slezak are especially noteworthy).

psst .. don't forget :
Writing Credits:
John Steinbeck ...(by)
Yes indeedy. Good on you for giving credit where I neglected.
Whatcha think: Hecht likely responsible for those Tallu-isms (such as the OP's)?
Poe! You are...avenged!
Unless Ms T made 'em up her own self !
A fav in Lifeboat is how Hitchcock still manages to do his cameo.
I get a kick out of knowing that Steinbeck was involved !
