Certainly dangerous territory. In most cases such attempts are career suicide. I couldn't tell you what separates hilarious from offensive, but everyone just somehow ends up on the same page.
RDJ gets a lot of attention, but Pacino has been cracking me up as a Cuban when I rewatch Scarface. Jon Voight in Anaconda is another one that I didn't realize was happening til years later.
