This is just off the top of my head there are many more but i don't have access to my master list now.
Okay here goes. I will comment on the ones I have seen:
The Secret of Roan Innish - Interesting, but seemed to be aimed at a very young audience.
Amorres Perros - Quite honestly I can't remember anything from this film, so I guess I was not impressed.
Run, Lola, Run - An excellent film. I really liked this one.
The Royal Tannenbaums - Meh.
Magnolia - I only vaguely remember this film, so Meh.
You're welcome. Glad I could brighten your day. π
And yes, I actually saw Amores Perros. It's a very intense film about a serious automobile wreck as viewed from three different perspectives, thus exploring three different stories. I'm going to contradict myself now and say that I did enjoy it, but I don't remember many details. That could be due at least in part to the fact that it was in Spanish with subtitles.
Yes. I am fluent in Spanish and French. But i remember my favorite danish films to the finest detail and only know a handful of words in Danish. What films do you like? I am always looking for new good films and thanks so much for answering! :) i am new to this site.
If you want to see a really suspenseful and absurd film my favorite is "he loves me he loves me not"
It's french absurdist at its greatest in my opinion and audrey tautou is great in it.
Wow! That's amazing. I speak English and a little bit of German, but I've never really had a flair for languages.
I might check out He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not, thanks. On the other hand, I considered Hard Candy for viewing, but decided against it because of the subject matter.
My favorite films include 2001: A Space Odyssey, A Clockwork Orange, Casablanca, Citizen Kane, Fargo, The Godfather Parts 1 and 2, Star Wars: A New Hope, The Graduate, The Shawshank Redemption, MASH, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Platoon, Goodfellas, The African Queen, Duck Soup, Dr. Strangelove, The Bridge Over the River Kwai, Apocalypse Now, and North By Northwest.
I liked Hard Candy but it may be too much for some i actually wished she castrated him. I liked Shawshank Redemption a lot. I hated A Clockwork Orange because I found it to be misogynistic. Casablanca was awesome. And Citizen Kane, compelling. Goodfellas was too violent for me to watch i still hear the awful sound of the trunk scene. Horrible! I will need to see if I want to see North by Northwest and Duck Soup i haven't seen them. I also loved Indochine. I need to see Bridge over the River Kwai.
And Fargo was hilarious! I loved the absurdity of that film. Oh yes, i also loved misery. I thought James'Caan's reactions were as hilarious as the bizarre sweetness of "Annie".
That was the main reason I decided not to view Hard Candy. I can understand your reactions to A Clockwork Orange and Goodfellas, but I thought they were brilliant. Another great Marx Brothers film is A Night At The Opera. I found Misery somewhat painful to watch.
Movieman,
Promise me you will watch audrey tautou in "he loves me ;he loves me not". She is so pretty and sweet like me. Go now and watch it i will await your response:) you will LOVE her.
No not really. Ask anyone Hard Candy and Misery are cult classics. A lot of women love to see men tortured. It is not odd judgemental movieman, it is normal in a man's world;) and wicked fun!
A lot of women love to see men tortured?? That is a sick and twisted comment, and an absurd generalization. Do you just hate men, or do you hate women also??
They might be, but Misery is a sadistic film, and I did not like the parts I viewed. And Hard Candy sounds sick, so I refuse to watch it. I will not watch He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not either. Since you like it, I will assume it's also a sadistic film.
And you wished the woman had castrated the man in Hard Candy??? You are one sick and twisted individual, and perhaps you should seek professional mental help.
Right. Change your name to "thegreatprojector "
because that is what you do best; Not very self-aware movieman.
So you only like films where women are mistreated and, in the case of A Clockwork Orange, raped. Sick!
Now i see why on your profile you only speak with men.
Actually, hard candy is not a sadistic film. Unless you think that a filthy pedophile should not be punished.
Careful movie"man", your true colors are showing. And don't watch it ;I couldn't care less what you do. I don't like sadistic films.
FYI I believe you need to look up the definition for sadistic as you are confused. Misery was not sadistic it was about a crazed fan
. A Clockwork Orange IS however a "sadist's delight". Ciao. You are too judgemental for my tastes.
I find it odd you like A Clockwork Orange and other violent films-now THATV is the correct usage of "odd". :D Enjoy "he loves me ;he loves me not! Ciao!
So YOU have good taste because it's a lot like mine :P
Where's your post ?
I'll give it a read in the A.M.:)
Goodnight. It's late, very late I am in Europe.
