I love them both but I have to say Sophia Loren. Generally more individual films and performances I adore and tend to revisit more often.

Weird since Loren has two Academy Awards but I don't think most people have seen her best work.

I think she's too earthy - she wouldn't be believable as "old money."

The kind of characters Loren plays appeals to me more, the poor (context: poverty) woman with a heart of gold.

Just on the looks front...Gardner by a whole damn galaxy. Can't fairly speak to either's talent.
