Did Alicia Vikander deserve her Oscar?
Why or why not?
shareAnd which film was it? Just curious...
shareErrr.... this was supposed to be a new thread. Daft phone.
For Alicia though: yes!
Probably not. I don't even remember whether she won for Ex Machina or The Danish Girl.
shareNo, she won for the wrong film.

I don't know I haven't seen the Danish Girl. Some people think that an actor could end at the end winning the Oscar for the Wrong Film. For example Morgan Freeman in Million Dollar Baby. He made more powerful performance than that. Or for a younger career in a exceptional year could won for the wrong film. Example Kate Winslet for The Reader, she should won for Revolutionary Road, according some buzzers.
But last year, Vikander had Ex Machina, but also The Man from U.N.C.L.E. and the seventh son. So I don't think she deserved the oscar for her prolific and excelent 2015. Was prolific but not exceptional in any way.
Just to sum up, I haven't seen the Danish Girl, if she was great there and better than the other actresses, probably deserved the Oscar, if not. was undeserved.-
Any thougth
Yes and no.
Yes because she had the best performance in the whole film.
No because of Jennifer Jason Leigh and Rooney Mara.
There's a difference between a differing opinion and a forced one.
