I almost feel that they are gonna get rid of them and purge all the accounts and then in a couple of years come back, brand new and with new rules/guidelines.
Maybe they will make boards for just imdb Pro users... but I dont think the boards will be gone for good.

That could be but it'll probably be radically different. It wouldn't be like what it is now. If message boards do ever come back, it will probably be like insider BS for pro subscribers. It will probably be just business/entertainment industry related stuff, unfortunately.
