Horror movie: Anglo-Saxons and Vikings attacked by a monster in the woods.
I read a thread somewhere a while ago whereby a poster asked this question.
"It was probably made in the 80s or 90s, set in Medieval England. The villagers are concerned with noises and people going missing but chalk it up to Viking raids.
One night the village is attacked by a monster and almost everyone is killed - only a small group of people flee to find themselves trapped and hunted in the woods but are saved by that same group of vikings wielding torches.
The leader, the only one who talks, explains they have been hunting the monster for days. The group flees to a church and barricades themselves but are still attacked, the Vikings end up dying and only the hero couple manage to survive."
The forum tried to identify the movie, but it was never solved. It doesn't sound much like Beowulf and he said it wasn't Outlander, Pathfinder, 13th Warrior, and perhaps might have been a TV movie?
