Movie with a similar setting as God's Country starring Thandiwe Newton
Just watched God's Country thinking it was the movie I'm looking for. I remember seeing the trailer for it a few years ago. IIRC, it's set somewhere in the Northern US during winter. A murder has occurred in a rural area and a Black female law enforcer is involved. Her younger brother may be a suspect. He may have some sort of impairment.
Some of the details may be off like the race of the female protagonist so take that into consideration.
