VERY RARE prison episode from USA - I'm looking for the movie at least 15 years

I'm looking for strange episode from 80's or 90's TV series. I think that very specific scene was long corridor in a prison (perhaps end or start of episode). Sadistic prison guard was very nice (it was his "game"). He says to blonde-haired man (tall guy, long blonde hair like Jeff Daniels): "You are free", so blonde-haired man goes through long corridor. Then, prison guard shoots in his back and prisoner was killed. It was only one lethal shot. Second prisoner was scared, so prison warden said: "You will be suffer". I don't remember blood, so perhaps it was "censored" version and I'm almost sure that it was TV series.

I know it's a feature film, but this scene looks similar to your description:

"Just before he gives the order, Irwin orders his fellow prisoners to lie down. Winter then tells Irwin to return his flag, but Irwin replies, "It's not your flag", before he turns and begins walking toward the flagpole to raise it. (...) Seeing that Irwin is ignoring him, Winter orders the shooters to fire on him, but they refuse. He orders them repeatedly but, as absolutely all of his men refuse to kill Irwin, Winter fatally shoots him in the back.. As his life ebbs away, Irwin continues to raise the flag."

Irwin is played by Robert Redford, who was blonde & tall.

It's very good guess, but IT isn't. I AM sure that my scene was other. I watched "The Last Castle", but IT isn't.

OK. I added new information from other forum. I am not sure that he was tall blonde man, but i am sure that prisoner was killed shot im his back, but he walked very slowly, not he runned.

No, sorry. It's extremely hard given the fact that it's probably not a prison themed show, but only an episode set in prison.

OK. I will check all Tv series, which I watched in late 90's and I add rejected episodes.

Perhaps "New York Undercover" is good trope.

My newest "finding" is "The Equalizer" - S4.E17 Prisoners of Conscience (TV Episode 1989) and "Quincy M.E." Riot (TV Episode 1980). Unfortunately, I didn't find videos.

I think about "Quincy M.E." and an episode entitled "Riot" - unfortunately it isn't online available.

Quincy and Sam are called to a prison to help investigate the murder of one of the inmates. Once there they soon find themselves held hostage by the prisoners when they begin a riot.User planktonrules wrote:
"Riot" begins inside a prison. It's soon very obvious that the warden is a jerk--the sort of guy who inflames the prisoners and makes small problems huge. Soon, a prisoner dies and the inmates assume one of the guards killed him. After all, he was a brutal guy and loved mistreating them. So it isn't surprising that a riot breaks out and the prisoners take many of the guards prisoner--including the guy they think is responsible for the death. Unfortunately, Sam and Quincy are in the middle of this, as they were called in to examine the dead prisoner's body--and they are taken prisoner by the rioters. Fortunately, one of the rioters (Al White) is not such a hot-head and he is able to influence some of the prisoners to use caution and restraint. Without him, Sam and Quincy as well as the other prisoners would be goners. Quincy is able to get the men to give him time to finish the autopsy before they take their next step. However, there are two huge problems--Sam is forced to stay behind with the prisoners while Quince goes back to the lab and the warden seems to be doing everything he can to escalate the situation! Can Quincy figure out what happened as well as save his friend?

I think about "Beyond The Walls" (1984) or "Walls" (1984) too, however it is tough to find as well.

I am almost sure that it wasn't full prison movie, but only an episode of TV series, because I watched many prison movies and nothing isn't similar, except scene from "Shawshank Redemption". But it is other, because (in my episode) a prisoner was killed by a prison guard with short pistol at the start of this episode. He was blonde haired man, probably. I remember very long corridor and (perhaps) photocell sliding door.

The killed prisoner was long blonde-haired man (probably). Definitely not Asian and not African American prisoners.

I think about "Law & Order" - it has a lot of prison episodes :-) Unfortunately, it will be tough to find, because many from them isn't available online.
