Tv show with a ghost

Could it be an episode of Dead Like Me? Very typical of the show.

That doesn't sound like ANY TV show I've ever heard of. No network television company would ever greenlight such a project either.

Dead Like Me was on Showtime, and it showed umpteen deaths per episode (anywhere from 3 to 20) where the person who died usually died in weird ways, including being murdered and being hacked into pieces. The dead were ALWAYS met by a reaper (not a ghost, per se, but they were dead people, too), whose job was to take the dead person's soul right before they died so that they could go on to the afterlife. They usually walked away with the dead person to take them to an entrance to the afterlife. They OFTEN would turn them away from the person's dead body so it wouldn't upset them.

It was an oddly funny show. Was the one you saw funny or serious? or both? DLM was both.

Another idea: City of Angels, where Dennis Franz plays an angel in a remake of Wings of Desire. Not sure if anyone he met after they died had been murdered, though, and he was NOT the victim. But not a TV show, so probably not what you were looking for.

there was an episode of Medium like that. An Italian looking man in t-shirt and shorts walking the street at night, he sees another man in an ally and starts talking to him. He didn't realise he was dead but the man in the ally realises he is dead too because he is looking at his dead self slumped between rubbish bags .
Can't remember which season it was though.

the italian is dead because his wife had had enough of him, and whilst sat on the sofa at home she murders him .
