1980ish movie with tough guy burn victim hero

This 1980ish movie was unique in featuring someone like David Carradine (although none of his titles seem to fit) who had been disfigured by an accident in which he was burned and left scarred (maybe this was before where the movie took off.) He was such a tough, macho guy that I guess this didn't stop him from being a hit with the ladies, and he had a girlfriend who I'm sure was also gifted in other areas, but I remember a scene in which she was running with him from some sort of danger and the plot writers thought it was a good idea to have her running topless. Maybe her part was played by some starlet like Bo Derek, I don't know.
This probably made me forget the rest of the movie.

Did you check out Death Race 2000? It's from 1975 and David Carradine plays Frankenstein, who is supposedly disfigured due to a burn accident or something similar (in fact he wasn't really disfigured, the plot explains why he wore the mask). I don't remember the running scene you mention, but Death Race 2000 would be the type of mainstream movie that it would appear in.

That could be it, and I'll have to check it out, but I don't remember the character wearing a mask. Does he only remove it at the end?

I thought it was more a classic R-rated shoot-em-up. I think there was also a scene with the guy and girl in bed.
