yep, this is kind of a challenge but if anyone know's I'm sure you will be on here!

This is driving my mate crazy...he is sure there is a film where a guy patches up a styrofoam cup...I don't know why this is the ONLY thing that he remembers about a film but everyone's brains work differently I guess!

This is my 1st post on here but I used to get a lot of help from this forum back in the IMDB days.

PLEASE someone help as he keeps bugging me

EDIT: He now says it came out in 1998 and there was a clown in it?

Do you know what type of movie it was? Horror, Comedy...?

Hi... yes this happens during the 10th minute of Patch Adams, released in 1998,
starring Robin Williams who sorta dresses like a clown further on in the movie.

During the opening minutes he was a patient at a mental hospital and one night he has a conversation
with an old man who had a cup of coffee on a desk, the cup was leaking and Patch noticed it,
he lifts it and -patches it-, therefore getting his name "Patch" Adams.
