Have you all read the announcement that as of February 19th (?), the IMDB Message Boards will be shut down and discontinued. They are giving us 2 weeks to archive our comments/messages that we would like to keep; and to exchange info for those who want to stay in communcation with each other.

I am so saddened by this decision. I So looked forward as I watched a movie I had never seen before, or re-visiting one of my favorites; to come to these boards and read the various messages or dialogue with movie fans from all over the country/world.

Even the feature of coming here to ask help on this board to find an obscure or long forgotten movie; has been a huge help for me as an addicted movie fan.

This is grievous and will be like having a good friend pass away, and I am already in mourning!

I am not that computer savvy; and can use any advice about how to archive some of my comments. I have been a member since 2006, first under the handle of HillieBoilday; and now necoleman. Posting comments for me was challenging, fun, thought provoking, a lot of times disagreeable and angry; but they helped me to improve my writing skills, as well as being able to now apply a more mature attitude toward movies that I watched as a child.

Please let me hear from you...My IMDB Brothers and Sisters....I will miss you!

lynx0139 I just tried your link and tried to register. Something going on with the servers. Maybe too many people trying which is a good thing I guess....

Thank you again....just registered...and did it under my original handle 'HillieBoliday' that I lost and could not retrieve on this board...YAY!

I am stoked! I will be able to continue discussing, describing, delineating, dabbling, declaring, deciphering, delighting, digesting, discovering, delving, dazzling, defending, dismantling, dismissing, and disclaiming films whether good, bad or indifferent...to my content!

I know, this is the problem......there is soooo much History here.
This is what I tried to explain to them.....this place is like a Museum, kind of like The Smithsonian.....they shouldn't be allowed to just tear it down...it's just wrong.
